In August 2026, the revamping and repowering project for the EMEC 1 photovoltaic plant was completed.<\/p>\n

The project involved modernizing the photovoltaic system installed in 2013 by replacing 182 710 Wp modules and 2 state-of-the-art inverters.<\/p>\n

At the same time, a new section of the plant was completed, with the installation of 470 710 Wp modules and 6 inverters.<\/p>\n

Thanks to these projects, EMEC\u2019s solar power plant now consists of 462.92 kWp installed at EMEC 1 and 327 kWp installed at EMEC 3.<\/p>\n

Total estimated energy production thus reaches 890,000 kWh per year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Of course, the productivity of the systems depends on the level of solar radiation that strikes the surfaces throughout the day. The availability of solar energy is influenced by both the sun\u2019s natural cycle and weather conditions; therefore, energy production does not always coincide with the plants\u2019 instantaneous demand. In fact, it may happen that energy demand is at its highest when photovoltaic production is at its lowest, and vice versa. On average, about 80% of the energy produced is consumed on-site by the facilities, while the remaining 20% is fed into the power grid.<\/p>\n

Energy from renewable sources will therefore cover approximately 60% of EMEC’s energy consumption and reduce CO\u2082 emissions into the atmosphere by approximately 190 metric tons per year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
