Our procurement of raw materials and semi-finished products takes place in a highly international context.
Our supplies come from every continent, with a significant portion from the Far East; for example, we have supply relationships with China, India, and Taiwan.
The range of raw materials is extremely diverse, ranging from plastic pellets of various types to precious metals.
It is clear that global conflicts are disrupting our normal supply chains, both in terms of delivery times and prices.
We have currently implemented protective measures aimed at reducing the impact of these circumstances, and thanks in part to management’s foresight, we have approved increases in inventory levels for those materials that may be affected by this geopolitical situation.
The effects of our actions are aimed at offsetting these impacts for our customers, and to date, the market is confirming that the measures we have implemented are the right ones—as evidenced by the fact that order volume is on the rise compared to the previous year.
So, the right actions have been taken, and the market has confirmed that they were the right ones. Now we need to exercise closer control over the supply chain and strengthen our ability to support our customers in order to protect both our business and our customers’ businesses.
