We recently had the opportunity to interview Sascha Koch, a colleague who clearly embodies EMEC’s values and professional standards at our German branch.
Sascha is 38 years old; he was born and lives in Berlin, where he shares his life with his wife and their two-year-old son. Just mentioning his son’s name is enough to make his eyes light up—a clear sign of how central family and personal values are to him. Since joining EMEC DE in August 2025, Sascha believes he has significantly improved his work-life balance, without ever compromising his professional commitment.
With an academic background in mechanical engineering, Sascha has built a solid professional foundation through 12 years of experience in the water treatment industry and in providing support for chlorine gas systems. About four years ago, driven by curiosity, determination, and a desire to make a long-term impact, he decided to transition into sales management as an Area Manager. This combination of technical expertise and cross-functional experience makes him a reliable and highly credible professional, both to clients and colleagues.
Sascha chose EMEC thanks to the encouragement of his current manager, who invited him to try a company that was better than the one where he had previously worked. Today, Sascha openly acknowledges that that decision was the right one. He particularly appreciates the high quality of EMEC’s products and the opportunity to work with stimulating and engaging clients—factors that make his daily work interesting and rewarding.
He is a serious, straightforward, and thoroughly reliable person who takes his role very seriously and is willing to “stand up” for the company. Sascha strongly believes in personal responsibility and transparent communication. At the same time, he is not afraid to offer constructive feedback: in fact, he points out that, on some occasions, responses from Italy reach customers too late, and he urges the organization to improve in this regard. These observations stem from a strong sense of belonging and a focus on customer satisfaction and EMEC’s reputation.
In his free time, Sascha has a real passion for sailing. He owns a boat in Berlin and loves to sail on the river, an activity that reflects many of his personal qualities: focus, precision, preparation, and respect for the rules and external conditions.
Sascha shares with us a professional motto that perfectly sums up his approach:
“The best marketing is the kind people don’t even realize is marketing.”
Sascha Koch is a highly focused and reliable professional who brings value, credibility, and dedication to EMEC every day. He is undoubtedly a valuable asset to the company, and it is a true pleasure to have a colleague like him as part of our organization.
